She has an Arab in her background. She's 3/4 Foundation Appaloosa and no one will register her, despite her appearance and sire's pedigree. The mare that is not registered could not be anything except an appaloosa, she is stocky, loud tricolor leopard, striped hooves, mottled skin, sclera..the complete package but I cant register her because she is of unknown bloodlines, but this damn colt who isnt even an Appy can be registered? If it wasnt for the Chief Joseph Trail Ride I would cancel my membership so fast - and never look back. They have set standards that are beneficial to the preservation of the Appaloosa horse. They don't waiver from their standards or make exceptions for individual horses or owners. It just might be worth while to go a head and register with the ApHCC instead.Anna Larsonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17189234825992570600noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2502169442457586589.post-29316684268665686842010-09-07T19:58:22.152-06:002010-09-07T19:58:22.152-06:00I double register my horses AApA and ApHC.. maybe ...I double register my horses AApA and ApHC.. maybe I should start AApA and ApHCC! In order to have full registered status the horse must show characteristics or is recorded as breeding stock only. We have remained true , and are tracking the foundation status of our horses. I did when the "window " opened briefly register many of mine in the US registry as well but now am wondering if I will continueSherry Sikstromhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15739108723318002627noreply@blogger.com
