I have still been saving all the hair I have from my old man Hobo after he passed away. I really want something made from the hair. My problem is that I can't seem to totally let go. It's been three years since he passed and Hobo's cremated remains are still in the urn in the box in the hallway in my house. His mane and tail hair is in a plastic bag in the back bedroom. Every time I think about him I still cry. I even almost totally quit riding for over a year after he passed. I'm getting better. This year with his "Dream Girl" getting old enough to ride I'm getting excited to start training her. I'm feeling more life in me again and just maybe I'll be brave and strong enough to let go of some of his hair to make some beautiful jewelry.
Some horses just take longer to greive, maybe a key chain or hat band will help, or not . He was clearly a horse of your heart. When it is right you will know , and until then let him remain as big a part of your heart as you need him to be
