What a beautiful New Years day it is here. We have snow on the ground, but a nice warm clear sunshiny day. The horses are fat and happy and just got hooves trimmed this morning. Jazzy dog is out running around collecting hoof trimmings left and right and burying them in her favorite spots. The cat's wasting her day away sleeping in her favorite spot. I'm busy planning my spring garden.

Happy New Year to you! I'm glad to read it was a beautiful day. I'm trying to figure out what area of New Mexico you live in, neighbor. We are just east of Albuquerque up in the mountains above 7,000ft.

Thoreau is over on the west side of the state about 110 miles west of ABQ and 50 miles or so east of AZ. Plus we are only 10 miles of the east side of the continental divide.
